Why Isotank Container for Bulk Transport

Iso Tank Containers are designed and manufactured to load liquids according to their type: from drinkable liquids, chemical liquids that may not be mixed but not dangerous, hazardous chemical liquids (corrosive, flammable, toxic and explosive), to liquefied gas by compression or by cooling (cryogenic). The design and specifications of the Iso Tank Container are made differently according to the needs needed to accommodate the designation for loading the liquids mentioned above. Even though the Iso Tank Container type has the same dimensions, they actually differ in construction, materials, material thickness, Working Pressure, shell layers and others. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) simply divides the types of tanks by dividing IMO 1, IMO 2, IMO 5 and so on. The type division determined by IMO was then replaced by the T Code system established by the international standard ISO 6346 and divided by: T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T11 to T 22.

ISO Tank Container is the safest means of transportation because it is strong and leak proof. Isotanks are more efficient and effective for moving liquid goods from one ship to another and for intermodal use. Like from the trailer to the train, then to one ship and another, then back to the trailer or train.
